Simplest & Fewer ingredients always do magic to a dish.. I thought Aloo Palak is one such dish. I can have this everyday. So simple, and still flavorful. Must try this Aloo Palak Sabji.

How to make Aloo Palak Sabji ?

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tbs oil.
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder (hing).
  • 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • 2 finely chopped green chillies.
  • 1 medium sized finely chopped onion.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • 1 tsp garam masala.
  • 1 tsp coriander (dhaniya) powder.
  • 2 medium sized potatoes cut in cubes.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 2 finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Freshly chopped spinach (1 big bunch).

Method

How to make?

  • Heat up the pan, pour 2-3 tbs oil.
  • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Add 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder (hing).
  • Add 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Add 2 finely chopped green chillies (or as per taste).
  • Saute garlic to make it golden-brown.
  • Add 1 medium sized finely chopped onion.
  • Add salt as per taste and mix it.
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • Add 1 tsp garam masala.
  • Add 1 tsp coriander (dhaniya) powder.
  • Add 2 medium sized potatoes cut in cubes.
  • Add 1 tsp red chilli powder and mix it well.
  • Cover the lid and cook potatoes on medium heat.
  • When potatoes are half cooked, add 2 finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Mix it well and add a spoonful of water.
  • Cover the lid and again leave for cooking for 5 min.
  • Further add freshly chopped spinach (take a big bunch of palak).
  • Mix it well and to cook palak cover the lid.
  • Cook for 5 min on medium heat.
  • Turn off the heat and take it on a serving plate.
  • Enjoy this Deliciously Nutritious Aloo Palak with Roti, Naan, Paratha or Bread!!!
