  1. Method

    • Heat up the pressure cooker
    • Add 2 tbs Ghee
    • Add 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
    • Wait for Jeera to crackle
    • Add 1/2 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
    • Add 3-4 cloves of finely chopped garlic
    • Add 2 finely chopped green chillies
    • Mix well
    • Now add 1 small finely chopped onion
    • Add salt
    • Add chopped vegetables: Cauliflower, Green Peas & Carrots
    • Add 1 tsp Haldi (Turmeric Powder)
    • Add 1.1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
    • Add 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
    • Mix well
    • Add 1 cup half-cooked millet (Bajra) ready
    • Add 1 cup pre-soaked yellow dal (Moong dal)
    • Add 1.1/2 cup water
    • Mix well
    • Add coriander leaves
    • Close the pressure - cooker and wait for 3 whistles
    • After 3 whistles open the cooker
    • Mix again
    • Plate and garnish with Coriander leaves
    • Enjoy with curd and pickle
