How to make Banana Walnut Pudding with California Walnuts?

Ingredients

  • Biscuits (use biscuits as per your choice).
  • 1.5 tsp instant coffee/ cocoa powder.
  • 1/4 cup water.
  • 1 cup whipping cream.
  • 2 bananas cut into slices (apple/ mango is optional).
  • Walnuts.
  • 5 tbs sugar.
  • 1 tbs butter (salted).
  • 2 tbs cooking/ fresh cream.

Method

How to make?

  • Place some biscuits in a flat bowl (use biscuits as per your choice).
  • Dilute 1.5 tsp instant coffee/ cocoa powder with 1/4 cup water (to balance the sweetness) and drizzle it on biscuits.
  • Add a thick layer of whipped cream on biscuits.
  • Add layer of banana slices (alternatively can use mango or even apple, then replace coffee with cinnamon).
  • Add some chopped walnuts on it.
  • Add a layer of biscuits.
  • Drizzle diluted coffee on it.
  • Again add a thick layer of whipped cream and flatten with spatula.
  • Add a layer of banana slices.

  • Add a layer of whipped cream.
  • Further to make caramel sauce.
  • Heat up the pan, add 5 tbs sugar and melt it on medium flame.
  • Swirl gently when it starts melting and put the heat on slow flame.
  • Then add 1 tbs butter (salted) and stir continuously.
  • Add 2 tbs cooking cream, mix it well and turn off the heat.
  • Transfer in a bowl (can store caramel in refrigerator in an air tight container for 5-6 months).
  • Drizzle caramel sauce on pudding with the help of piping bag.
  • Place some walnuts on it.
  • Set in refrigerator for 4-5 hours or overnight (for good results).
  • Then cut it into squares and take them on a serving plate.
  • And then your Amazingly Delicious Dessert Banana Walnut Pudding is ready!!!

Tips for Banana Walnut Pudding Recipe

  • To make it vegan, use vegan/ oats cookies and soya / coconut milk to make custard. Also, you can use cashew cheese to add it in soya milk to make thick cream base.
  • Custard can be alternative for whipped cream, to make custard : boil 300 ml milk, add 2.5 tbs sugar.
  • Dilute 1-1.5 tbs corn flour in milk (with room temperature).
  • Then add it in the pan and stir continuously for 7-8 min until it turns thicker.
  • Rest 3-4 hours to bring it to the room temperature and then use.
  • Can also add 1/4 – 1/2 cup cooking/ fresh cream and vanilla essence as per your choice.
