If you’re getting fresh Fenugreek leaves (Methi), then this is the simplest recipe you can make with Besan & basic spices. Goes very well with chapati or can have just like that. This is something Maharashtrians have all the time.

  1. Method

    • Heat up a pan
    • Add 2 tbsp oil
    • Add 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
    • Add 1/2 tsp chooped ginger
    • Add 1 tsp chopped garlic
    • Add 2-3 green chillies finely chopped
    • Mix it and now add 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
    • Roast besan for 6-7 minutes on low to medium flame till you get light golden colour or you get nice aroma
    • Next add chopped methi leaves mit it well
    • Now add Coriander powder, Red chilli powder and Salt
    • Mix it nicely and sprinkle some water
    • Cook for 4-5 minutes.
    • Serve with roti or bhakari.
