Besan Paneer ki sabji is one of the simplest versions of paneer sabji. All the ingredients used in the sabji are easily available at home.  The Paneer used in the sabji is homemade.  We don’t need to buy Paneer from the market because we don’t require any kind of cubes of paneer in the gravy. This paneer besan sabji is too delicious and simple. 

How to cook Besan Paneer Ki Sabzi ?

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp oil.
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • 4-5 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • 1 small finely chopped ginger knob.
  • 2-3 chopped green chillies.
  • 1 medium sized finely chopped onion.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1.5 tsp garam masala.
  • 3-4 spoon water.
  • 2 tsp roasted gram flour (besan).
  • 3 medium sized finely chopped tomatoes.
  • 1/2 cup green peas (matar).
  • 1/4 cup curd (dahi).
  • 200 gm paneer.

Method

How to make?

  • Heat up the pan, pour 2 tsp oil.
  • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Add 4-5 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Add 1 small finely chopped ginger knob.
  • Add 2-3 chopped green chillies.
  • Add 1 medium sized finely chopped onion.
  • Add salt as per taste, mix it and cook until onion turns golden-brown.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • Add 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • Add 1.5 tsp garam masala, saute on low flame.
  • Add 2 spoon water (released from paneer).
  • Add 2 tsp roasted gram flour (besan) and mix it.
  • Add 3 medium sized finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Cover the lid and cook it on medium flame for 7 mins until tomatoes are soft.
  • Then add 1/2 cup green peas (matar).
  • Cover the lid and cook for another 5 mins.
  • Add 2 spoon water (if gravy is thick).
  • Add 1/4 cup curd (dahi) and mix it.
  • Add 200 gm paneer (crush with spoon and add).
  • Mix it well and cook it on low flame for a while.
  • Take it in a serving bowl and garnish with a coriander leave.

Tips for Besan Paneer Ki Sabzi

  • We should cook the starting masala on low flame.
  • Add paneer water  in the masala while cooking.
  • It will be good if you prepare gravy in steam after covering the top of the pan.
