How to Make Aloo Paratha?


My secrets

  • 2 boiled grated potatoes.
  • Some finely chopped coriander.
  • 1/4 tsp crushed coriander seeds.
  • 1/4 tsp ajwain.
  • Some finely chopped spring onions.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder.
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1 cup wheat flour.


How to Cook?

  • Take a mixing bowl, add 2 boiled grated potatoes(do not overcook, cool up to 2 whistles in pressure cooker).
  • Add some finely chopped coriander.
  • Add 1/4 tsp crushed coriander seeds.
  • Add 1/4 tsp Ajwain.
  • Add some finely chopped spring onions (optional).
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder.
  • Add 1/2 tsp coriander powder.
  • Add 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • Add 1/2 tsp amchur powder.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • Add less than 1/2 cup wheat flour and mix it well
    (Without adding any water try to kneed dough).
  • Further roll out some balls from this dough and flatten it with the help of rolling pin and board.
    (Apply some dry flour if required).
  • Now heat up the pan, place paratha on it and dry roast from both the sides.
  • Drizzle some oil/ ghee on it and cook until it gets golden-brown colour from both the sides.
    (Make more parathas following the same procedure).
  • And then enjoy your Quickest & Appetizing Aloo Paratha.
  • Serve it hot with achar, chutney or dahi!!!
