  1. Method

    • Dry roast 1 cup peanuts, remove skin
    • Coarsely crush them with the help of mortar and pestle
    • Keep it aside
    • Now heat up the pan
    • Add 2 tsp oil
    • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
    • Add a pinch of asafoetida powder (hing)
    • Add 2-3 finely chopped garlic cloves
    • Add 1 medium sized finely chopped onion
    • Add salt as per taste
    • Cook until onion turns golden-brown
    • Now add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
    • Add 1.5 tsp dhaniya-jeera powder
    • Add 1.5 tsp red chilli powder
    • Add 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
    • Fry for a minute
    • Then add 3-4 medium sized tomato puree
    • Let tomatoes cook for 7-8 minutes
    • Further add 1 tsp sugar (optional)
    • Add 2 tbs curd (dahi) and mix it
    • Add 2-3 spoon water
    • Now add 1 cup crushed peanuts
    • Again add a cup of water (if gravy is too thick)
    • Cook for more 5-7 minutes
    • Add some finely chopped coriander leaves
    • Turn off the heat
    • Take it in a serving bowl
    • Add some Gathiya on top
    • Garnish with coriander leaves
    • Serve this Tempting Sing & Gathiya ki Sabji with Bhakri, Roti, Puri, Paratha or Khakra!
