Gathiya Tomato Sing Sabzi Recipe

How to make Gathiya Tomato Sing Sabzi ?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts.
  • 2 tsp oil.
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Pinch of asafoetida powder (hing).
  • 2-3 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • 1 medium sized finely chopped onion.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • 1.5 tsp dhaniya-jeera powder.
  • 1.5 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala.
  • 3-4 medium sized tomato puree.
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional).
  • 2 tbs curd (dahi).
  • 1 cup water.
  • 1 cup Gathiya (sev).
  • Handful of finely chopped coriander leaves.

Method

How to make?

  • Dry roast 1 cup peanuts, remove skin.
  • Coarsely crush them with the help of mortar and pestle.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Now heat up the pan.
  • Add 2 tsp oil.
  • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Add a pinch of asafoetida powder (hing).
  • Add 2-3 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Add 1 medium sized finely chopped onion.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • Cook until onion turns golden-brown.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • Add 1.5 tsp dhaniya-jeera powder.
  • Add 1.5 tsp red chilli powder.
  • Add 1/2 tsp garam masala powder.
  • Fry for a minute.
  • Then add 3-4 medium sized tomato puree.
  • Let tomatoes cook for 7-8 minutes.
  • Further add 1 tsp sugar (optional).
  • Add 2 tbs curd (dahi) and mix it.
  • Add 2-3 spoon water.
  • Now add 1 cup crushed peanuts.
  • Again add a cup of water (if gravy is too thick).
  • Cook for more 5-7 minutes.
  • Add some finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Take it in a serving bowl.
  • Add some Gathiya on top.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve this Tempting Sing & Gathiya ki Sabji with Bhakri, Roti, Puri, Paratha or Khakra!
