Gud Ke Chawal | गुड़ के चावल बनाने का सबसे स्वाद और आसान तरीका | Punjabi Jaggery Rice Recipe

I grew up eating this every Winter. So flavorful, rich in texture & taste that stays with you all day. Enjoy Gur Ke Chawal.. or should I say Mithi Bhaat.

  1. Method

    • Soak 1 cup Rice in water
    • Heat Water in a pan
    • Add soaked rice
    • Add 3 Cloves (Laung) 
    • Add 1 Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
    • Add 2 Bay Leaves (Tej Patta)
    • Add few Black Peppers (Kali Mirch)
    • Add 2 Cardamom (Elaichi)
    • Let the rice partially cook & then drain it
    • Heat another pan to melt Gur
    • Add 3/4 cup Jaggery (Gur)
    • Add 2 tbs Water
    • Cook until Gur melts
    • Transfer melted Gur in a bowl
    • Heat 1 big spoon Ghee in the same pan
    • Add 1 tbs Cashews
    • Add 1 tbs Almonds
    • Add 1 tbs Pistachios
    • Roast until light golden 
    • Transfer roasted nuts in a bowl
    • Keep the flame high 
    • Add cooked rice
    • Add melted Gur
    • Add a pinch of Fennel Seeds Powder (Saunf) 
    • Add 3-4 Cloves Powder
    • Gently mix rice
    • When rice absorbs melted Gur, add roasted nuts
    • Add a pinch of Salt and mix it
    • Turn off the heat when Gur is nicely absorbed
    • Enjoy your Delicious Gur ke Chawal
