Healthy Breakfast Mix

Now here is an idea. If you are used to discarding over-riped banana, think again. You can actually use it as a sweetner for this breakfast mix and can avoid honey and sugar completely. Full of nuts, oats, makhana, flex seeds & Pumpkin Seeds, roasted and can be enjoyed with beaten curd or soya / almond milk. Kick-start your day with my version of Healthy Breakfast Mix.

How to make Healthy Breakfast Mix ?


  • 1/2 tsp olive oil/ ghee.
  • 50 gm makhana (lotus seeds).
  • 2 tbs oats.
  • 7-8 chopped cashews.
  • 7-8 almonds.
  • 3 walnuts.
  • 2 tbs peanuts.
  • Some pistachios.
  • 1 tbs pumpkin seeds.
  • 1 tbs flax seeds.
  • 1 tsp chia seeds.
  • Some Dry US Cranberries.
  • 1 overripe banana cut into slices.
  • Beaten curd (diluted with water or soya milk / almond milk is optional).


How to make?

  • Heat up the pan, add 1/2 tsp olive oil/ ghee (roast all ingredients seperately or as mentioned below, you can also dry roast them).
  • Add 50 gm makhana (lotus seeds).
  • Roast on slow to medium heat until thry turn crunchy.
  • Add 2 tbs oats in pan and dry roast for 2 min.
  • Then add some dry fruits in the pan
    (7-8 chopped cashews, 7-8 almonds, 3 walnuts, 2 tbs peanuts & some pistachios).
  • Dry roast well and transfer in a bowl.
  • Turn of the heat and add 1 tbs pumpkin seeds.
  • Add 1 tbs flax seeds in pan.
  • Roast for a while until they start crackling.
  • Take all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add 1 tsp chia seeds.
  • Add some Dry US Cranberries (other berries or kishmish is optional).
  • You can store this Premix in an air tight container for 10 days.
  • Further take a serving bowl.
  • Add 1 overripe banana cut into slices
    (or add any fruit as per your choice).
  • Add some beaten curd (diluted with water or soya milk / almond milk is optional).
  • Top with some Breakfast Premix.
  • Add such nutritious food in your diet.
