How to Make Chia Seeds Eggless Pancakes ?

Healthy, Tasty and a very different approach to pancakes.

  • 1/2 cup white flour(maida).
  • 1 tsp baking powder.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • 1 tbs chia seeds.
  • 2 tbs brown sugar.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon(dalchini) powder.
  • A pinch of nutmeg(jaiphal) powder.
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence.
  • 1/4 tsp vinegar.
  • 1/2 cup almond milk.
  • 1/2 tsp water.
  • 1/2 tsp butter.
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon(dalchini) powder (optional).
  • A pinch of salt.
  • Some butter(for frying).



  • Take a mixing bowl,
    add 1/2 cup white flour(maida) (You can also use wheat flour – optional).
  • Add 1 tsp baking powder.
  • Add a pinch of salt.
  • Add 1 tbs chia seeds (for binding & stickiness) (Chia seeds are full of antioxidants and essential nutrients).
  • Add 1 tbs brown sugar (1 tbs jaggery – optional).
  • Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder (To make chocolate pancakes add 1 tsp cocoa powder).
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg (jaiphal) powder and mix it well.
  • Add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence.
  • Add 1/4 tsp vinegar
    (for fluffiness)
  • Add 1/2 cup almond milk (cow milk/soya milk/flavoured mil – optional), mix the batter well and rest it for 5 mins to get a good consistency.

    To make pancake sauce :

  • Heat up the pan, add 1/2 tsp water.
  • Add 1 tbs brown sugar (jaggery – optional).
  • Add 1/2 tsp butter.
  • Add 1/4 cup coconut cream(Amul cooking cream – optional)
    and mix it well.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    (dalchini) powder (optional – it gives a nice flavour) and keep stirring continuously.
  • Add a pinch of salt,
    mix it and turn off the stove.
  • Add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and again mix it.
  • Now heat up the pan pour some butter/coconut oil and 2 tbs batter on it.
  • Cook it on slow to medium flame for 5-7 mins then flip once the pancake gets air bubbles and again cook for 5-7 mins.
  • Make more pancakes with the same procedure. (Using non stick pan to make pancakes gives best results).
  • Place all pancakes in a plate, add some pieces of banana(optional),pour some sauce and some maple syrup(optional) on it.
  • Add a mint leave on top and serve these Delicious.
