Kesar Peda Recipe

Just took me 5-10 minutes to make this flavor-ful Kesar Peda from Milk Powder, sugar, ghee, milk, saffron & cardamom powder. Enjoy.

How to make Kesar Peda ?

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk (with room temperature).
  • 2 tbs + 1/2 tsp ghee.
  • 1/2 cup powder sugar.
  • 2 cup milk powder.
  • Spoonful of kesar milk (10-12 saffron threads soaked in milk).
  • 3 cardamom powder.
  • Some chopped pistachios & kesar threads to garnish.

Method

How to make?

  • In a pan, pour 1/2 cup milk (with room temperature).
  • Add 2 tbs ghee (melted).
  • Add 1/2 cup powder sugar (grind in mixie, seive & use it).
  • Mix it well.
  • Then add 2 cup milk powder gradually (do not use coffee creamer).
  • Mix all ingredients well to make a smooth mixture.
  • Now add a spoonful of kesar milk (10-12 saffron threads soaked in milk).
  • Add 3 cardamom powder and mix it well.
  • Now it’s time to cook this mixture.
  • Heat up the pan.
  • Keep stirring the mixture on low to medium flame.
  • Turn off the heat when mixture turns into a thick firm ball.
  • Transfer it in a plate.
  • Add 1/2 tsp ghee and mix it.
  • Now take small portion (1 tbs) of peda mixture.
  • Roll this mixture giving it a peda shape
    (make more pedas with the same procedure).
  • Press a few pistachios on top.
  • Place a kesar thread on top of each peda.
  • Here’s your Delicious & Quick Kesar Peda ready!!!
