Mix Dal Dosa is high in protein & a beautiful combination with tomato chutney. I have added very litle rice in dosa with 5 types of dal, but if you want you can skip rice too.

  1. Method

    • Heat 1-2 tsp Oil to make Tomato Chutney
    • Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
    • Add 1 tbs Skinless Lentils (Urad Dal)
    • Add 1 tbs Bengal Gram Split (Chana Dal)
    • Roast until golden-brown
    • Add 3-4 Dry Red Chillies
    • Add Salt as per taste
    • Add 1 medium chopped Onion
    • Add 1 small Ginger Knob
    • Add 3 medium chopped Tomatoes
    • Cover the lid and cook for 5 min on high heat
    • When veggies are mushy, add 3 tbs freshly grated Coconut
    • Mix it well, turn off the heat & let it cool down
    • Add approx 1/2 cup Water & churn the mixture
    • Heat 1 tsp Oil in a pan for tadka
    • Add Rai, Hing & Kadi Patta
    • Pour this tadka on chutney prepared
    • Further in a mixing bowl, take 5 types of Dal
    • Add 1/4 cup Rice
    • Add 3-4 Dry Red Chillies
    • Wash thoroughly and soak for 5-6 hours in water
    • Further add 1 tsp Jeera and little Water
    • Churn the mixture in batches to get smooth batter
    • Add some finely chopped Coriander Leaves
    • Add Salt as per taste
    • Mix it well and start making dosa
    • Heat up the pan
    • Add a drop of Oil and wipe out with a tissue
    • Add a ladleful of batter and spread it around
    • Drizzle some Oil and cook it on high heat
    • Flip when it turns golden-brown
    • Cook other side too
    • (Make more dosas with the same procedure)
