How to make Moong Dal Chilla ?


  • Chilka Moong Dal (Split Green Lentils – soaked in water for 2-3 hours).
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water (as required)
  • 150 gm Paneer
  • 2 tbs Hung Curd (Dhahi ka chakka)
  • Some finely chopped veggies (Coriander, Onion, Colorful Bell Peppers, Green Chillies and a small piece of Ginger)
  • 2 tbs US Cranberries, finely chopped
  • Crushed Black Pepper
  • Oil (for roasting)
  • Green Chutney (optional).


How to make?

  • Chop approx 2 tbs US Cranberries and keep aside
  • In a mixer jar, take Chilka Moong Dal (Split Green Lentils)
  • Add 2 Green Chillies
    (You can also add garlic)
  • Add Salt as per taste
  • Add minimum Water and churn to make smooth batter
  • Transfer batter in a bowl
  • Take another mixing bowl
  • Add approx 150 gm Paneer and gently mash it
  • Add 2 tbs Hung Curd (Dhahi ka chakka – alternatively cheese spread can be used)
  • Add some finely chopped veggies, Coriander, Onion, Colorful Bell Peppers, Green Chillies and a small piece of Ginger
  • Now add chopped Cranberries
  • Add some Crushed Black Pepper
  • Add Salt as per taste
  • Heat the pan, add some Oil and wipe with a tissue
  • Now pour the batter and spread it evenly
  • Drizzle some Oil
  • When chilla starts turning brown, spread some Green Chutney on it (optional)
  • Add paneer stuffing and fold the chilla over it
  • Cook for 2 minutes and remove from the pan
    (Make more chillas with the same procedure)
  • Enjoy this Super Healthy & Scrumptious Cranberry Paneer Chilla!
