Oats Patty Recipe

Recipe: Oats Patty | No Fry Oats Vegetables Patty

Ingredients

  • 3 medium sized boiled shredded potatoes.
  • Finely chopped broccoli.
  • Finely chopped cabbage (patta gobi).
  • Finely chopped carrot (gajar).
  • Finely chopped capsicum (simla mirch).
  • Finely chopped onion (Add veggies as per your choice).
  • Small bunch of finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • 1 tsp roasted crushed coriander.
  • 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp garam masala.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • Some anardana powder/ amchur powder/ lemon.
  • 1/2 cup roasted oats.
  • 1/2 cup roasted oats flour (churn oats in mixie).
  • Corn flour (for slurry).
  • Bread crumbs (for coating).
  • 1 tbs oil/ butter (for frying).

Method

How to make?

  • Take a mixing bowl, add 3 medium sized boiled shredded potatoes. (boil in pressure cooker up to 2 whistles – do not overcook).
  • Add finely chopped broccoli.
  • Add finely chopped cabbage (patta gobi).
  • Add finely chopped carrot (gajar).
  • Add finely chopped capsicum (simla mirch).
  • Add finely chopped onion. (Add veggies as per your choice).
  • Add a small bunch of finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Add 1 tsp roasted crushed coriander.
  • Add 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • Add 1 tsp garam masala.
  • Add 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • Add some anardana powder/ amchur powder/ lemon.
  • Add 1/2 cup roasted oats.
  • Add 1/2 cup roasted oats flour. (churn oats in mixie).
  • Mix all ingredients well with hands. (make dry mixture).
  • Make some patties from this mixture.
  • Shallow fry patties now or to make coating, dilute corn flour with water to make slurry.
  • Dip patties in it and then into bread crumbs. (You can also keep in refrigerator to firm up patties).
  • Heat up the pan, pour 1 tbs oil/ butter.
  • Place all patties and cook it on medium flame until they turn golden-brown from both the sides.
  • Take them on a serving plate, add a drop of tomato ketchup and coriander leave on each patty.
  • And then your Tongue Tickling Vegetable and Oats Patties are ready, enjoy warm!!!
