Pani Puri Lovers on Diet Can Go For This Dish As It’s Not Fried I Pani Phulki I Meghna’s Food Magic

Appam Pan strikes again; this time it’s Pani Fulki. The Pani Puri lovers on diet can go for this dish since we have not fried fulki but made with few drops of oil in Appe Pan. It’s a two step recipe -

Method

  1. To Make Pani:-

    • Take a mixer jar, add a small bunch of Coriander
    • Add a medium bunch of Mint Leaves
    • Add 1 small Ginger Knob
    • Add 4 Green Chillies
    • Squeeze 1 Lemon
    • Add a little Water and churn to make thick paste 
    • Transfer in a mixing bowl
    • Add 2 cup Water
    • Add 1.5 tsp Black Salt
    • Add 1.5 tsp roasted Cumin Powder
    • (If you wish to you can also add Salt to taste)
    • Add crushed Black Pepper
    • Mix it and refrigerate to serve chilled

     

  2. To Make Fulki:-

    • In a mixer jar, take 1 cup Moong Dal (soaked for 2-3 hours)
    • Add a small chopped Ginger Knob
    • Add Green Chillies (as per taste)
    • Churn to make batter
    • Transfer the batter in a mixing bowl
    • Add Salt to taste
    • Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
    • Mix this batter well for 5 min with the help of spoon
    • (Keep this batter for 5-6 hours for natural fermentation)
    • Further add 1/4 tsp Baking Soda & mix well
    • Heat appe pan, pour very little Oil in all cavities
    • Add batter in each cavity
    • Flip fulkis once golden from one side
    • Let it nicely cook from other side too
    • Remove all fulkis from the pan
    • Add warm fulkis into chilled pani
    • Leave for a while to absorb water
    • Add some Boondi
    • Garnish with chopped Coriander & Onion Rings
    • Take it in a serving bowl
    • Enjoy this Scrumptious Pani Fulki
