Sev Turai Ki Sabzi Recipe

How to make Sev Turai Ki Sabzi?

Ingredients

  • 300 gm Turai (Ridge Gourd).
  • 1 tbsp oil.
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Pinch of asafoetida powder (hing).
  • 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Finely chopped green chillies (as per taste).
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • 2 tsp coriander (dhaniya) powder.
  • 1.5 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 2 finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 2-3 spoon water.
  • 1 cup sev in the end.
  • Freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Method

How to make?

  • Take approx 300 gm Turai (Ridge Gourd).
  • Peel its skin, cut into small pieces & keep aside.
  • Heat the pan.
  • Add 1 tbsp oil.
  • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Add a pinch of asafoetida powder (hing).
  • Add 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Add finely chopped green chillies (as per taste).
  • When garlic is fried add dry spices.
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
  • Add 2 tsp coriander (dhaniya) powder.
  • Add 1.5 tsp red chilli powder.
  • Fry for a minute.
  • Add 2 finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • Add chopped Turai when tomatoes are partially cooked.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Add 2 spoon water.
  • Cover the lid and cook it on medium heat.
  • Mix once, again cover the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
  • You can add sugar at this step (optional).
  • Add 1 cup sev in the end.
  • Add freshly chopped coriander.
  • And turn off the heat immediately.
  • Take it in a serving bowl and serve with Bhakri.
  • Enjoy your Delicious Sev Turai ki Sabji!!!
