    Veg Pulao Recipe

    One-pot meals are the most convenient to have with limited efforts; and just mixing all spices, vegetables and rice. All you need is a pressure cooker to make this Veg Pulao.

    My Secret

    • 1 cup soaked rice.
    • 2 tsp ghee.
    • 1 spoon oil.
    • 1/2 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds).
    • 1 bay leave.
    • 1 small stick of cinnamon.
    • 3-4 cloves.
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.
    • 1-2 chopped green chillies.
    • 1/2 finely chopped onion.
    • Green peas.
    • Chopped carrots,
      Chopped cauliflower.
    • Chopped capsicum.
    • 1/2 tsp Haldi.
    • 1/2 tsp biryani masala (or alternatively garam masala).
    • Salt.
    • Serve with curd.


    Cooking process

    This is super easy pulao; need pressure cooker and 2 whistles are good enough.

    • Heat up cooker
    • Add 2 tsp ghee (saturated butter)
    • Add 2 spoon oil
    • Add 1/2 tsp Jeera
    • Add some spices – 1 bay leaves, 1 small stick of cinnamon & a few cloves.
    • As you hear cracking sound of Jeera, add ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
    • add 1-2 chopped green chillies
    • add 1/2 finely chopped onion
    • Now add whatever veggies you like or have at home to this pulao.
    • Add some green peas, chopped carrots, chopped french beans and cauliflower chopped.
    • Mix well
    • Time to add dry spices.
    • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (Haldi).
    • Add 1/2 tsp biryani masala (alternative garam masala).
    • Add some chopped capsicum at last.
    • Mix well.
    • Now add soaked rice.
    • Mix well and let it roast for some time.
    • Time to add salt.
    • Add water same quantity as rice.
    • Now close the cooker and wait for 2 whistles.
    • Let cooker now cool down, open the cooker  and serve hot pulao with curd, chillies and onions.
