Happy Navratri. Hope the fasting period goes peacefully. Sharing this Vrat Idli recipe made from Sama Chawal & Sabudana flour, which are consumed while observing fasts.

How to make Vrat Idli Recipe ?

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Sama chawal (vadai).
  • 1/4 cup sabudana flour.
  • 1 cup curd.
  • 1 cup water.
  • 1 tsp baking soda.
  • Sendha namak as per taste.

Method

How to make?

  • In a bowl add Sama chawal , sabudana flour, curd , baking powder ,salt and water mix it nicely and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Grease the idli mould with oil and fill the batter into the moulds.
  • Add water in idli steamer or vessel.
  • Placed the mould over it and steam then for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Once steamed take it out and keep aside to cool down.
  • Now take out this vrat idli and serve with curd or vrat chutney.
